This is all souding great - I haven't been to a meeting yet, but I'll
have a car that night, so I'll try & be there.

Maybe someone can help me get DHCP going on my laptop - I had it going
with Slackware but never since I installed Debian.

You realise, of course, that you don't need both an uplink port _and_ a
crossover cable?

I'll try to bring a hub too, and maybe some coax :-)
