[wellylug] Mandrake 8.0 released.

A question for you all. As a newby, I have an interest in picking up the
easiest route into Linux. I am presently using RH7.2 largely because it was
on a magazine CD. To maximise my opportunity to learn from this group, I
should consider pursuing the version of Linux that most of you gurus use.
What should it ben then? Can I have a expression of opinion and a brief
comment as to why I might find it easier and more useful.

My short term interest is in a server managing proxy services, perhaps a
firewall, and file sharing activities. I don't expect to use the GUI with
this lower spec PC, but the GUI might be useful for setting it up.
