[wellylug] PPD for Kyocera FS-1800

I actually solved the problem after ages of effort: both OpenOffice 641C
and the PPD from linuxprinting.org were flawed! And although the
Kyocera website does not list any PPDs, they are buried in the Windows
2000 section of the driver. And the Kyocera CD our office has had it
tucked it away in an unintuitive folder..... sigh.

Anyway, OO 641D in combination with a recent Kyocera PPD seems to work.
641C most definitely does not.

You may want to check out KDE3 when it matures, as I think it may have
at least some of the features you are looking for. Or perhaps
Turboprint (but this is not free software).

printer.

BTW, if you come across a printer daemon that has a good interface and
reports back when the printer is jammed or out of paper, let me know.
