[wellylug] saturn cable connection with linux

I have not used Freesco though I have had it reocmmended to me by one of the
guys in the LUG.

Coyote is small, and simple to set up. Jamie of this list championed it to
me, and I have used it since. It does not need fiddling with though I am
getting lessons this very day on how to control the firewall. We can now
ssh in through coyote to one of the PC's on the LAN, and then telnet from
there to coyote, preventing access from the outside via telnet. More to
follow. The 44 page FAQ is on my desk at the minute.

Freesco seems to have more menu driven ipchains editing and so on. I might
run it up and see what salutes. As they are floppy sized, and expand onto a
RAM drive, they don't take much installing. How long can 1.44 mB's take?

Perhaps we could examine it on Monday evening?

Lindsay
