Hmm ... say the system boots, and the clock says 6am Tuesday. They
system thinks that represents local time. Then it shuts down, but the
system (for whatever reason) now thinks the hardware clock should be
written in UTC, so it writes 6:05 pm Monday.

So it could be that the system clock is being set too early, or the
clock config is being set too late, in the boot proecss.

Is that what you were talking about Daniel?
