Hi Richard,  

Sorry, I should have been more precise giving these pieces of information.

Pc 1 (with ppp and eth0) is RH 7.0
Pc2  (only eth0) is RH 7.1

>From pc2 
 
	ping paradise.net.nz 
or 
	ping 203.96.152.12

gives 
	Connect : Network is unreachable

But (again from Pc2 when pc1 is connected to paradise via ppp)
	host -a paradise.net.nz
provides some details about paradise (IP, servers etc...)

>From pc1 : ping IP or server name works fine

I got rid of Bind on Pc2, but not on Pc1.
