[wellylug] Ethernet hubs (possibly for the K12 Project)

The only one I have seen on the shelves is an 8 port 10/100 slightly
smaller than the Concise Oxford Dictionary at $178... The website shows a
small 5 port 10mbps job for $64... is that the type you have?? There is
also a 10/100 5 port at $142...

As I said, I am ethernet challenged, but on the theory that faster is
better would you go for the 10/100 and if so is the 8 port better value at
$22.25/port as opposed to the 5 port at $28.40/port... or doesn't it really
matter...

My dinky little hub was purchased from Dick Smith - they usually sell them
at a reasonable price.
