[wellylug] Need help getting PCMCIA Modem/Ethernet working under Mandrake 8.1

I've got Mandrake 8.1 installed on a Toshiba 1730CDT (dual boots with Windows 2000) and although I can get the Ositech Jack of Hearts V90 + Ethernet PCMCIA card to work fine under Windows I can't get it to work under Linux at all.
I'm not too concerned about getting the 'modem' part of it working under Linux but really need to get the Ethernet (10/100) going on it.
Does anyone have any ideas, I've tweaked /etc/pcmcia/config.opt to reconginze the card - based on the fact that all of the Ositech cards use the smc91c92_cs driver and it recognizes the card upon insertion and configures it as eth0 - I can ping my own IP address but cannot ping anything else.
I've got a gateway (192.168.10.10) defined but obvoiusly its not working.

HELP!
