[wellylug] Red Hat 7.3 Install problems

I downloaded and installed RH 7.3 onto my PIII-866 system. 

When it boots after install completion, it shows the first few dots of
the loader (after GRUB)....and then the screen goes black and stays
there. 

I know it is actually booting because the hard disk keeps chattering
away for about the right amount of time.

I formatted and re-installed twice, choosing different video options
each time and the result waas the same. 

I have: 

NVidia GF2 MX-400 with 64MB of RAM
Philips 105S monitor. 

Resolution was set to the default 1024 x 768 x 64k colours - the
default. 

This would be a fairly standard sort of video setup for any Kiwi
homebuilt PC...or even a commercial one.

I then installed Mandrake 8.2 on to the same system, formatting and
replacing RH 7.3....and MDK 8.2 went on fine - no problems at all. The
disk config can't be the problem as the RH boot carried on with blank
screen...and MDK 8.2 installed OK.Ihave a 10GB drive as /dev/hda and a
40GB drive as /dev/hdb. 

So.....if anyone else has video problems with RH 7.3 on first (and
every) boot after installation...I'd like to know. 

As it is....I haven't seen it yet because it won't install properly.
