What created the EPS file?

Could you use PS instead?

If you're creating it on Windows, I gather that the Adobe PS printer
driver does a better (more compliant) job of producing PS than the
standard Windows one, but I don't know if it's used to produce EPS files
as well - probably not, because you probably don't use a printer driver
for that.
