Does Linux have anything directy equivalent to the Windows registry?
Yesterday I did a bare-bones install of Win95 and was surprised to note the
registry
was only 419k in size. Compare this to a work colleagues XP Pro system, with
a registry of 75.9 meg!
This got me wondering where Linux keeps all it needs to know about itself
and how large this info
would be. Any ideas?
