[wellylug] Next Wellington Installfest?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me when the next GNU/Linux installfest is scheduled for?

A friend of mine, Keri, a total computer newbie, has just bought her
first PC, a P133 with 1GB drive, and after telling her about GNU/Linux,
she's pretty keen to go in that direction.

(IMO, her hardware should suffice for X, OpenOffice, sawfish and
gnome/kde libs, giving her basic web access and WP).

And, are WLUG meetings a friendly place for newbies? Or are they best
for people with good GNU/Linux experience?

Despite being a total newbie, Keri packs a decent IQ, and is keen to
ramp up to the point of learning programming, website development etc.
What's the possibility that she might find support and encouragement
within the WLUG community?
