[wellylug] Next Wellington Installfest?

I have a low-end (48MB ram, 166Mhz, 900Mb HD) laptop, which copes well with:
* Debian 3.0, 2.4.18 kernel (apparently you should use 2.4.16 if you want
ALSA drivers)
* X/Blackbox
* Galeon (Dillo if you don't need Java or tables!!!)
* Sylpheed
* AbiWord (blech, but runs fast enough)
* 2D Games
* text-based dev tools
That leaves about 300Mb free.
You could cut out gcc and co. and have more room for other toys, but dselect
didn't seem to like me doing that (dependencies).
A first-timer might choke on the Debian install (it took me a while to get
most things going and I have no sound), but once it is up and running it's
sweet -- apt-get update && apt-get upgrade.
Cheers
Tony
