LINUX WORM CREATING P2P ATTACK NETWORK

TODAY'S TOP STORY
A new Linux worm that preys upon Linux Web servers is steadily building
its own rogue peer-to-peer (P2P) file transfer network with which to
launch new attacks against other computers. Symantec reported that the
so-called Linux.Slapper.Worm's P2P network, built on vulnerable Apache Web
servers, had claimed more than 3,500 servers as of Saturday night and
continues to use these assets to launch distributed denial of service (DDoS)
attacks on other systems.
