[wellylug] October meeting

Hi...

I don't know who organises the speakers at the monthly meetings, but if there
is enough interest I could run through the presentation I made at the "Second
International Symposium on GIS and Spatial Analyses in Fishery and Aquatic
Sciences" a couple of weeks ago.

It was created mostly on Linux & used free mapping/GIS & visualisation software
looking at the NZ hoki fishery.

It generated enough interest at the symposium that I'm doing a second paper for
the proceedings on free/open source resources to build a GIS, which may also be
a suitable topic for a WLUG meeting??
