[wellylug] How do I use rsync?

Damon's post of the other day on how he 'rsync'd' the Mandrake 9
install stuff has made me ask the question of 'how can I do this
myself?'
Can someone please explain in simple terms how I would go about
rsyncing the Mandrake 9 FTP site etc.
