The Mandrake book is a useful guide, as it includes an intro to Gnome, KDE,
OpenOffice etc, as installed by Mandrake, as well as basic Mandrake Linux. If
you get over the hill into the Hutt Valley, Rose, I can lend you my copy. It's
a very good starting point for novices, & includes info which may help more
advanced users as well.
