But first, you need to install ntp as I don't think it is installed in 
Mandrake 9 by default. As root, either

urpmi ntp

or 

rpm -Uvh ntp-4.1.1-2mdk.i586.rpm (after finding it on the CDs)

or use the nifty graphical tool:

K menu -> Configuration -> Packaging -> Install Software
