Thanks Colin,

I am hoping to come to the meeting, but by then hope some of these things
may be resolved.  See later - Jamie is sending me Mdk 9.1.

I hate being so dependent about this.  I feel as though it is another
language - well,  some of it is of course!

I have been really encouraged and supported by people here and I greatly
appreciate it.  I wonder if some of the isues were related to the initial
install - and then of course, who knows what I may have done since!!  But I
am generally very careful of what I do in root mode.

I am looking at it as a learning exercise, but concerned I may be "trying"
the patience of you all.
