When installing Mandrake 9.1, when you get to the "summary" type page
after the packages have been installed, click on the configure button
for graphics, and you will find a "test" button, which will allow you to
test the graphics setup before the install has finished. You can also
set various options, e.g. monitor, resolution, etc.
Certainly Mandrake works fine with a Trio. As I recall this was a very
common card.
