[wellylug] Ok, that was dumb of me, but I do have a question...

Searching on Seek, and Dice, shows few opportunities to get paid to know
Linux.

I'm quite in favor of Linux - both to have more understanding and
control of my own computing, and also to avoid helping what are, after
all, convicted criminals (and I give credence to arguments M$ has done
widespread harm in society).

But I haven't worked for a while, and I need to pick what to study. I
can work on Oracle and Java and PERL for Windows or for Linux.

Is anyone getting paid to work on Linux? I don't mind hearing variants
on "well, we should be", but please be clear whether you know of someone
actually getting paid to work on Linux. If I can find a solid enough
justification to "bet the farm", I would be happier to invest that way
myself.

My own investigation to date, shows a solid employer bias for M$. I
don't like it, but I'm not running those companies - I'm trying to get
hired by one of them.

Cheers,
Bret
