I'm in two minds about recommending Slingshot
$17/mo unlimited dialup
Paid in 3 montly cycle (so every 3 months, you pay $51)
Mailboxes, webspace, the usual stuff.
0900 for helpdesk, and 0800 for checking if the system is working normally or
if there are issues (ie, you call the number and voice menu says to press 3
or something).

There wouldn't be a limit, so no need for a warning.

Pro: They used to be excellent. I was delighted with the service and the
price.
Con: lately they seem to be doing some heavy rate-limiting or traffic shaping
or whatever they call it in the industry (maybe banjo can enlighten us).
I'm pretty sure it's doing that because I check kppp for throughput speeds,
and if I'm on a NZ site, it'll come thru at 5.5k, and if it's an
international one, it'll be about 1.4k. I can elaborate more on it, but it's
all just guessing based on watching kppp and the modem lights, the occasional
traceroute and trying the same server through my work's internet via ssh.
Lately they have been really consistent doing this (whatever it is they are
doing), so I've been looking at other options.

Still waiting to hear back from nzwireless.co.nz about their service and how
much it'll cost because I'm in the CBD, within their wireless AP range.

I was quoted with their 'standard domestic offering' which was: 256Kbit
international, 1-4Mbit national, and no limits for $70+GST per month.
Equipment can be hired for 17$+GST per month and for a bit extra, you can get
static IPs.
