[wellylug] Where's my disk space gone revisited...

Hi all,

Some time ago I asked where my disk space had gone. I got some really good
advice on how to find out.

Now I'm looking for more help. How can I re-proportion the disk space I
have? Here's where I'm at:

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
 /dev/hda5 505605 221997 257504 47% /
 /dev/hda1 101089 22035 73835 23% /boot
 /dev/hda3 4648896 34632 4378112 1% /home
 none 61048 0 61048 0% /dev/shm
 /dev/hda2 12697360 4535656 7516696 38% /usr
 /dev/hda6 1027768 850556 125004 88% /var

Seems my issue (lack-of) space on /var. As the machine is a web-server
(serving pages from var/www) I guess I don't need a big /usr partition. Can
I swap them over/move the space from /usr to /var by changing the partition?

Bear in mind I'm a slow learner on a slow box. (RH8.0/KDE3)

Cheers
Andrew
