Hi again,

I am sorry but what is 'something sensible'?
this is my /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost Mercury

I don't have this file that I can see at all.

In sendmail.mc I can't see anything starting Cw BUT in sendmail.cf here is part of that :-
---------------------
Cwlocalhost
# file containing names of hosts for which we receive email
Fw/etc/mail/local-host-names

# my official domain name
# ... define this only if sendmail cannot automatically determine your domain
#Dj$w.Foo.COM
---------------------------
Is this it? As it seems to be talking about receiving mail?
What should I change?

Now also my local-host-names file is empty, so what should it say?

ERr which file would contain the set envelope line? I can't find it in the .muttrc,
should I be adding it?

Sorry for all the Q's
