Fetchmail is a mail retrieval tool only, it cannot send mail and relies upon
the local MTA for message delivery to a local mailbox.
To send mail you need something like sendmail running locally or to define
whatever mail application you use to use your ISPs SMTP server.

I think the answer lies in fetchmail which is also handling the
collecting of mail, to be configured to send mail through the remote
smtp server. I just need to figure out how and also make sure mutt uses
fetchmail to send mail through the remote smtp server.
