A new screen should be able to handle it. Try to position the speakers as far 
away from the monitor as you can manage. As long as you don't move their 
positions relative to the monitor too often (ie. a fairly permanent 
arrangement), you can reset the monitor with a degauss, which should clear up 
the magnetic distortion.
