Please bring to the meeting tonight for open discussion and a decision.

Requirements for discussion are:
TITLE: The use of the WellyLUG distribution list for the distribution of
emails not directly contributing to building the Linux Community and
community awareness.

Required Nominees:
1. For the case of distributing emails (against the above)
2. Supporting the above statement

Panel required to review statements by either party.

Rules:
1. Each Nominee to present their case within 5 minutes
2. Panel to decide by majority decision
3. Decision to form basis of message to be posted, governing the use of the
distribution list, on Website.
4. Respect for all parties is paramount.
5. Observers have no say.

CALL for NOMINEES and PANEL now open. Please respond to this distribution
list. Calls close at 4pm.

Let's clear this up openly and decisively. We are, after all, meant to be a
cooperative group of people interested in promoting Linux and Open Source.
Where this sort of thing erupts let's settle it amicably.

Now is quite probably the first time ever in Western history that there
is a large anti-war movement before the war has officially started. 
Over the past decade, according to the UN, hundreds of thousands of
Iraqi children have died.  The previous US administration said the cost
of the children's lives was "worth it".

Perhaps this is of no interest to you.  But it is very interesting to a
good number of people.  We in the wellylug are part of a community. 
Sometimes these things will come up in our community.  People who use
Linux will directly be involved in carrying out the official war,
possibly (or even probably) including people on this list.  It is also
quite possible that there are Assyrian refugees from Iraq who are on
this list (there are thousands of such Assyrians who live in
Wellington).
