And here was me thinking I joined WellyLUG for a bit of fun and occasional
technical help (giving or receiving).  What's all this 'in the interest of
the wellylug community' stuff?  

Let's take that to its logical conclusion: 90% of Wellylug meeting attendees
are white men, so should we be advocating for an end to affirmative action
because it is 'in the interest of the community'?  I don't care if you want
to, but consider this e-mail my vote against you doing it on this list.
PLEASE!  <Mad-typing>unsubscribe wellylug</Mad-typing> -- finger poised
above return key. :-)

I would have thought the OSS list was a more appropriate place for some of
the politics-related Linux comments (though I have risen to the bait when
they have been posted here), and there are dozens of others for all the
other ideological barrows you want to push.

Of course, I'm relaxed about a bit of off-topic stuff now and then (like
this e-mail, heh).
