(PR excerpt) -- At eGov in Washington, DC today, Red Hat will announce that
the Red Hat Linux Advanced Server has become the first Linux platform to
achieve the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Information Systems
Agency's "Common Operating Environment" (COE) certification. COE is a DoD
software security and interoperability specification which is broadly
recognized as a critical computing standard across the U.S. Government, and
is considered one of the most rigorous computing certifications to obtain.
