I hope everyone had an enjoyable Xmas and a safe and happy New Year.
As discussed at the end of last year I have not renewed the Johnsonville
Community Centre for meetings for this year as people wanted a venue closer
to the CBD (preferably in the CBD).
Our February meeting is fast approaching and as yet we don't have a new
venue, many people said that they would look into new venues for us but so
far we haven't seen a lot of feedback.
We will need to find a new venue within the next 2 weeks to give us time to
let people know about it - if we don't find one do we look at returning to
J'Ville or do we simply stop having meetings?
I am aware that we've had the offer of a school for the meetings, what do
people think of this? Do people see problems with using an already exisiting
computer lab where it could be difficult (or even impossible) to bring in
our own PCs and set them up?
What are peoples thoughts? Are we getting to the stage where we need to get
a more formal structure to the group (comittee etc.) to provide a body of
people \
to drive the group forward?
A lot to think about, and I'd like as many peope as possible to give
feedback
to the list so that we can have some discussion on these matters.
Cheers
Jamie
