[wellylug] Guest Speaker at Wellington Perl Mongers

Hi All

Apologies to those of you who have seen this announcement 
on the Perl Mongers list but it may be of interest to 
anyone with a technical bent even if they're not big on 
Perl ...

Damian Conway will be speaking at the Wellington Perl
Mongers meeting on Wednesday 12 February 2003.  Damian
is in town to run a tutorial at a bioinformatics 
conference.  If you're not into bioinformatics or can't
afford the conference fees then you can still catch 
Damian for free.  (Actually if you are into bioinformatics
and you are going to the conference, then your quite
welcome to attend anyway - there's unlikely to be much
overlap between the tutorial topic and the talk).

If you've never heard of Damian then you may not think
you're interested but take a quick look at the web page
and consider that the talk promises to be entertaining
and it's cheaper than a movie:

Anyone who is interested is welcome - knowledge of Perl 
is certainly not a requirement for attendance.  Forward
this announcement to anyone you think might like to
