yes, I have WineX (CVS) downloaded on 28/6 working. The nature of CVS is
that it could be broken one day, fixed next day - try re-sychronising
cvs-tree today and rebuilding.

so far I found you can't have M$-free system, you have to use native dll's
from win98. winnt or winme or win2k dlls not recommended. Have a look on
http://appdb.winehq.com/ for suggestions on what dll's required for what program.
Also I found that using real windows partition for "fake_windows" drive in
wine makes things worse. Create clean "fake_windows" directory structure,
and only copy the necessary dlls.
Also make sure you copy your FONTS from windows dir to your "fake_windows"
drive.
