http://www.e-smith.org might be one of the distributions you should look at.

Free and very easy to set up, does SMB, mail, http, ftp etc but doesn't do
NFS 
out of the box (AFAIK). Intended for use in small businesses.

Uses its own template based configuration system to generate /etc, which
takes 
a little getting used to if you need to get into the behind the scenes
stuff, 
but the web based config interface is easy to use. E-smith is a mature 
product, 5.6 is the current release with 6.0 currently in its second beta. 
Security updates are released as necessary, so the product is well 
maintained.
