First of all: NO WARRANTIES
The last time I really read the SuSE licence (SuSE 7.3) IMHO it was that way :
* Yes you are allowed to copy SuSE CD's , if you don't sell them.
* Yes you are alloded to copy SuSE CD's on an NFS-Server in an Intranet.
* Yes you can mirrow the SuSE-ftp-server for Internet and Intranet.
The SuSE CD's contains non-free-stuff so it is often illegal to pubish them
in the Internet. The SuSE ftp-Server is free of most of this stuff, so
you are allowed to. YaST is self is not really free at all. See
http://www.suse.com/us/private/support/licenses/yast.html
for details. These are the terms you have got to deal with, because
you can't use SuSE without YaST.
Bye,
Joerg
