... and what sort of price are we looking at?

Further to this does anyone know a kindhearted business that may be able to 'sponsor' the WellyLUG by offering competitive prices for hardware etc.  I imagine being part of the user group could also imply that support may not be an issue (or maybe even a requirement that purchasing at the LUG price means no support).

I'm sure that there are people that work for businesses that support business that support people (hang on just let me untangle that a bit - no I think I got it right:-)

Or has this already been done and failed?
