Other applications for dual heads. Software development of user interfaces.
User screen on one, debug/code screens on the other. The other application
- PCB layout and circuit design - displaying various board layers and
circuits during layout. Very handy.
A long time ago I ran an HP1000 system with a pc based terminals. We used
"dual heads" - one card being an EGA colour, the other standard monochrome
screen. The mono screen was for the command line terminal, the colour for
the graphics display of results. The "terminals" were HP Vectra XT machines
without hard drives!

I know it is definitely possible to have multiple monitors connected to
multiple adapters of the same type. I once saw four monitors hooked up
to four different Geforces on one machine in Manila some years ago. It
was an enormous virtual screen. Why would someone like that? I don't
know!
