Nope. The Mandrake v9.0 book (pretty comprehensive intro to Linux, Mandrake,
KDE, Gnome, Open Office, etc....) is available by itself, I think US$39.
Mandrake v9.1 doesn't appear too different so it is pretty relevant still.

The basic user guide supplied with the packs is downloadable for MandrakeClub
members, this is pretty minimal, more of an install guide than anything else.

AFAIK the powerpack has everything the desktop pack has plus more commercial
apps, Linux sources etc.


If you can get to the next meeting, I'll bring the Mandrake book along for
people to decide if it is relevant (& worth it) to them....
