This is basic internet access mainly - though enjoy and use "publisher" type 
stuff and use that in MS: and still prefer MS for WP.  However I am working 
at learning OpenOffice.

My question now - is whether to install Mandrake 9, which did run on my 
system, though I couldn't configure XFree myself after a CD install.  Also 
could not install XFree in Mdk 9.1: amd  Linux friend couldn't either.  This 
person is a RedHat user person though.

My question is: is it likely that somone could configure XFree in Mdk 9 or 9.1 
for me if I came with machine preinstalled?  Even though I did not use it for 
long - I prefer Mandrake.

mustek CP 1200Cp scanner (not an issue - can use Windows)
