What RedHat are doing is providing "RedHat Enterprise Linux" as a well
supported comercial offering and "Fedora Linux" which is a cutting edge
community involved "free & unsupported" distro for the enthusiast and
developer. RedHat no longer really have a product tailored to the
average home consumer as it costs too much to support with little
revenue generation (at this stage).

This certainly gives an opportunity to Mandrake who seem to be a little
more successful in the home consumer space but also doubles down
RedHat's efforts to deliver on the enterprise systems. They have also
stated that when the market is right they are likely to produce a new
product.
