[wellylug] Gentoo module dependancies problem

Hi all,
I recall seeing a couple people on this list mention that they used Gentoo a 
while back. I run a Gentoo install on my laptop, and am having a problem where 
the "Calculating Module Dependancies" step takes about 4.5 minutes! This means 
my total time to boot is around 5 mins, which is just ridiculous ;-)

I sure it didn't always take this long, but I don't know what I would have done 
to cause this either...
