[wellylug] Email address and website

Ok, perhaps I'm just a bit thick then but I don’t see how we can resolve our
email issue with any of this - the website is fine but we currently have no
email address at all and I don’t think that we can get one through
lug.net.nz; as far as I am aware this is for the website redirects only not
email (but I am prepared to be corrected).
Buying our own domain gives us control over all aspects of that domain
including the MX records, this would give us the ability to point the MX to
any willing host for email purposes something that we cannot do with the
wellington.lug.net.nz setup as we do not control the MX records.
Perhaps we should just wait for Drew to read this and he can tell us once
and for all if there is any way that he can prehaps give us a
wellington at lug.net.nz email address or similar that we can use.

I'm prepared to be corrected on any of this if my understanding of any of
the 'ins and outs' of this kind of setup are incorrect.
