My XP2600 was running too hot 60+ and the disks would get too hot to
touch. Random hangs happened on warm days. To fix it I installed two
case fans. One in the front to sick air into the case and one at the
back to blow it out. I had to cut the grills out of the case to get the
air flowing properly. gkrellm now reports the CPU as 35 at idle up to
about 50 when encoding/decoding. Haven't had another hang since (fingers
crossed)
