To the gentleman who was talking about automating multi-session backups
at last night's meeting (Rex?):
You might find the following sites useful:
http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-cdburn.html
(introductory tutorial)
http://www.fokus.gmd.de/research/cc/glone/employees/joerg.schilling/priv
ate/man/README/README.multi (more complex)
To my knowledge, Amanda does not support CDs (only tapes), but then I am
using Debian 3.0, which is comparatively ancient.
For failover support for your servers, this could be a useful starting
point:
http://www.linux-ha.org/
I think databases will be the sticking point here, but I know PostgreSQL
has patches for a master-slave type arrangement, which could help.
Cheers
Tony

Subject: [wellylug] T-Shirts
$20/colour/film
$20 per colour to print screens
$1/shirt/colour
So for 4 colours $80 for film, $80 per colour and $4 per shirt..
Wasn't able to make the LUG meeting as it clashes with a Web Media
meeting I run http://welmac.org.nz/meetings.htm hope it was good.
