[wellylug] POP3 Virus Scanner

Hi David,
I am on Clear, and had not checked via webmail for about 4 weeks so I stand
corrected - There was 23 pages @ 20 messages each in the spam folder = 400+
spam messages intercepted.
But I noted some that I got that were the same title (and basic content) as
were in the Spam folder anyway so it is still learning. I get from 6-20 spam
mails each day - I guess it has reduced then.
cheers
Colin

Hi Colin,
Log in to the paradise.net webmail and click the 'spam' tab. You might be
surprised (or not). I had 60 spam entries sitting there after two weeks and
not a single one was a false positive. In that same time, I've had about 4
spam emails actually arrive in my inbox, so I consider that to be pretty
good.
That's just my experience. I'm pretty happy with the service.
(I imagine someone or something has to update the scanner rules/patterns so
perhaps that hasn't been done yet - hence the Swen evidence?)
Cheers,
David.
