You'll need to back up both the ~/evolution directory and the relevant
gconf2 metadata.

so .. tar czvf ~/evolution-backup.tar.gz ~/evolution

and then run gconf2-editor and dump out the evolution section.  Unsure how
to do that as I've never tried, but it shouldn't be too hard. :)

If the gconf editor doesn't have an export function, the gconf data is in
an xml file in your ~.

If you haven't seen gconf2 before, it's very similar to the registry in
That Other OS(tm) ;)
