No, just a representative sample. Personal experience is a sample of one,
which is too small to prove anything. Which was David's point.

Which you can't prove from personal experience... :)
For instance, I've had files lost on ReiserFS, and entire partitions borked. A
couple of people I know running servers in London have shifted to XFS from
Reiser due to corruption under heavy load (Oracle database partitions and /var
IIRC).
I gave up on ReiserFS a couple of years ago and I use ext3 and XFS nowadays. I
did this because I found that more people I knew and more posts on forums and
lists reported trouble with Reiser than ext2/3 or XFS.
