Thanks to Colin for suggestion on getting sound from my CD player.  You 
will laugh when I tell you (like the car that stopped and the owner was 
looking under the bonnet not realising that the fuel gauge showed empty) - 
the internal sound lead was not attached to the CD player!!!!

Seriously, after the attempts at the last WLUG meeting to reboot my 
computer, I took the drastic step of re-installing the OS.  Unfortunately I 
could not seem to do this without reloading everything.  So at the same 
time I upgraded from M 9.1 to 9.2,  A few nice new features, particularly 
easier closing down.

BUT I seem unable to dial up to the internet with out the huge trouble of 
going to the connection setup process to log on to the provider.  In 9.1 I 
managed to get my dial up connection on the taskbar, but for the life of me 
have not found how to repeat this in 9.2!  Ideally I would like Mozilla to 
connect automatically on starting, and Evolution to dial in and check mail 
on checking the fetch/send button on the toolbar.

Any suggestions gratefully
