Jamie,

I am pro freedom and cooperation and community.  Probably you are as
well.  That is heart of the issue.  I'm sure you don't want *your* data
locked away in non-documented proprietary format as much as any of us on
this list.

That's a political stance, and if you recognise it as such, more power
to you.  But please respect those of us who disagree with this stance,
as we respect you :)

My family members use it.  They are not computer gurus by any stretch of
the imagination :)  Sometimes they have problems, and they are different
to Windows problems.  I have never had to reinstall a GNU/Linux OS and
applications because of a virus breach.
