Colin and Sam's posts pretty much summarise (one might
say rehash) the January argument.  The archives are
available on-line, and I suggest people reread the
(extensive) posts from that time if they are
interested.  

I understood the disagreement had been resolved, at
least for an agreed period, at a LUG meeting shortly
after those posts.  If so, further flogging of the
dead horse is probably not helpful.  Or do I see signs
of life in the old knacker?
