Sorry, I was exaggerating somewhat. :)
I guess I have two points here. First off, I feel the wording leaves
far too much up the interpretation of the reader.
Secondly, as I noted in my previous post, I don't know that "encouraging
the use of Linux and Open Source Software" is the role of a Linux
usergroup.
As I wrote in one of my messages to the list last week, if the group as
a whole wants to take the Open Source Advocacy path, then that's cool
with me - it's just not a group I'd be interested in participating in.
I wouldn't join a vegetarian cooking mailing list to talk about
electronic appliance maintenance, and I didn't join a linux user group
to convert the propietary software infidels to Linux.
